Identifying Your Strengths and Weaknesses

youtube-video-thumbnail

Students should be looking at their baseline practice test to identify where their strengths and weaknesses lie.

Knowing your strengths and weaknesses will give you an important strategic edge as you prepare for the exam.  Look at each individual subject test to figure this out.  The tests with the highest scores will showcase your strengths.  Likewise, the tests with the lowest scores will reveal your test weaknesses.  Identify which types of questions in each subject test have the highest overall scores.  Those are your strongest areas.

The best way to raise your ACT score is to maximize your strengths.  You will want to build up your strongest test areas first to pick up easy points. As you maximize your points in your strongest areas, you will raise your overall composite score.  Remember that the subject test scores are averaged, so large increases in 1 or more area will increase the overall score.  You will be focusing on your preparation from your strongest area to your weakest.

In your journal, rank your baseline subject test scores in order from strongest to weakest. What did you learn about yourself?  We are further clarifying our course for sail by identifying which ports we will sail to in which order.
