About College PrepXcel
College admissions are increasingly competitive and the rules constantly change. High achieving students compete for selective admissions and high level merit scholarships. We know how this works. Grades, test scores, extracurriculars, and soft skills work together to create an admissions package that tells a story. You don't have to do this alone. We work with our students and their families to strategically plan this out and guide them to learn how to showcase their uniqueness and potential to their prospective schools.

College Prep Planning
We work with families to identify where the student is in the college prep process. We begin with a thorough college prep audit, evaluation and personal coaching. Together, we identify which skills the student has mastered, which milestones are complete, and what needs to be done to set the student up for success.
College Choice
We guide students through the college list building process. We encourage college visits and give students and parents guidance regarding what to look for in a school. Once the acceptance letters arrive, we guide families through the college selection process. The goal is always to help our students find the best fit for them.
Life Skills
Students need more than just academics to be successful in their college admissions. We guide our students to be responsible young adults with the life skills they need the most to be successful. Skills include resume development, interview prep, understanding college financing and identifying scholarships, SAT/ACT Prep, time management, study skills, overcoming perfectionism, and more.

Judy Fulmer, Founder and College Prep Consultant
Judy has over 20 years of experience as an educator, serving in public, private, and homeschools. She focuses on the needs of the individual student and seeks to draw out the potential in all students. She is an igniter of hope. While working together, Judy teaches her students valuable life skills that serve them well beyond college prep and high school as they grow into adulthood. She is their biggest cheerleader, but holds them accountable to do the work that will help them reach their academic goals.
